Harvest (Series of Unexpected Events - OSCA) Isadore Glockner-Karo & Heidi Karo

'Harvest' was a performance I developed and performed with my daughter, also an artist. Connection to and love of the ocean was at the centre of the work. The beach being an integral part of our family life. The harvesting of giant, stitched interpretations of sea algae, grasses and kelp in the performance, represented mine and Isadore’s need for the ocean in our lives. We seek to share with our audience, the importance of simplistic practice and appreciation of what surrounds in order to build foundations for a happy life. ‘Harvest’ emphasised hardship, teamwork, recovery, domestic process and physical labour to entice people into the temporary home that was created in our performance.
